Frederick M. Shepperd, Esq., Managing Partner
As the managing partner and originator of The Quadral Group, Ltd., Frederick M. Shepperd has witnessed, managed and facilitated the concept of "globalization" for well over a decade for many large and mid-sized companies. Prior to his employment at Quadral, Mr. Shepperd served for five years as Vice President of Finance for Becker Pumps, Corp., a U.S. subsidiary of its German parent company. Mr. Shepperd was responsible for the financial, legal, and administrative areas of the company, development of sales subsidiaries, logistics, establishment of production in the U.S. and responsible for the operation of Aerzen USA Corp, a U.S. joint venture between Becker and another German company.
Mr. Shepperd has written articles for a number of U.S. and international publications including New York Times, Handelsblatt, Wirtshchafts Woche, Ausland's Kurier, Area Development, Rubber and Plastics News, Tire Business, and was a columnist for 10 years on tax business and international issues with Crain's Cleveland Business and Crain's News Syndicate. He has been a guest speaker on international business and globalization issues in Germany, Slovenia, Denmark, and North America. He was invited by Deutsche Messe AG and the CDH of Germany to be a featured speaker on U.S.-German business relations at the 1995 Hannover Industrial Fair.
Mr. Shepperd is a member of the Corporate and International Sections of the Ohio State Bar Association, Greater Cleveland International Lawyers Group, and the Cleveland World Trade Association. He also serves on the Board of Directors of a number of international companies.
A graduate of Capital University School of Law, Magna Cum Laude from the University of Akron with a BA in Political Science (with honors) and concentration in Accounting, Mr. Shepperd serves as an Adjunct Professor in Global Business at the College of Business, University of Akron. He is also a graduate of Culver Naval School in Culver, Indiana.
Global Management and Turnaround Associate
This Quadral Associate is based in Germany with 30 years of international marketing and business turnaround expertise. A Fulbright Scholar in the United States, he has also studied at the University of Cologne, Germany, in the Netherlands and the U.K.
He began his profesional career at Forgrove GmbH, the continental European subsidiary of Baker Perkins/Peterborough, Saginaw, Michigan (a world leading supplier of food, packaging and plastic machinery). He was later named Director of Export for Mannesmann-Demag Kunststofftechnik.
Starting in 1978 he managed the successful turnaround of a number of companies as Chief Executive Officer, the companies include: Wheelabrator-Berger (Allied Signal), Drais-Werke (Mannheim, Germany) and Passavant-Werke AG, Germany.
After the opening of Eastern Germany, our Associate served as Director of Privatization for the State of Thueringen. Upon successful completion of his duties and immediately prior to his association with Quadral, he was instrumental in the turnaround and global development of a northern German truck and bus supplier.
International Business Associate
One Associate of The Quadral Group's global network served as corporate attorney for fourteen plus years with Roadway Services, Inc. Roadway is an international transportation corporation with operations in all modes of transport. As an integral part of a management team that grew Roadway from a $1 Billion trucking company to $5 Billion international transportation conglomerate, our team member has expanded their offices into Canada, Mexico, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and the Pacific Rim.
Recognized for expertise in international transportation, our Associate is the Chairman for the Transportation Lawyers Association. He is an original member of the North American Committee for Surface Transportation, which is a committee of experts sponsored by the National Law Center on Inter-American Free Trade to develop a uniform bill of lading, uniform rules of practice and a uniform liability regime to facilitate the implementation of the North American Free Trade Agreement. He is also a member of the U.S./Canada Cabotage Task Force, a committee of the American and Canadian Trucking Associations that has proposed changes to the custom regulations for the importation and use of revenue equipment in the two countries. Because of his extensive experience with transportation in Mexico, his advice was sought by the advisors negotiating the transportation sections of the NAFTA.
China & Pacific Rim Specialist
One Associate has 20 years of experience with direct investment business transactions in China and the Pacific Rim. Among the accomplishments in China, he has helped to establish one of the first joint ventures in the manufacture of automotive electronic components. In 1995 he was invited to the United Kingdom as a guest of the Department of Trade and Industry of Her Majesty's Government to assist U.K. auto-components manufacturers to do business in China. He has worked on projects for a number of publicly held companies in Europe and the United States.
He has identified and mastered specific strategies regarding the Chinese Market ranging from the site location of business zones, policies for promotion and marketing, supply logistics, strategies for the formation of successful joint ventures, and business development and foreign investment within the Chinese government.

One Mechanical Engineer, had worked for Ford Electronics Brazil as a Component Quality Engineer and Process Engineer; worked as Product Engineer at AMP of Brazil researching and developing electrical and electronic connectors; he has been working at Ford Electronics Brazil Plant as technical and sales representative for American Companies.
An other Mechanical Engineer; had worked for Helibras (Helicopter Company - Europocopter in Brazil) as Research and Product Engineer; worked for AMP of Brazil researching and developing connectors for the automotive market, he has worked at Ford Electronics Plant as technical representative. Recently he has been performing marketing and sales activities on the automotive market.
One Chemical Engineer had worked for Dow Chemical developing marketing and sales activities all this period along. He joined the team back in 1991 in order to start the Advertising business. Now he is working full time in sales and marketing programs.
As a Mechanical Engineer, with a Master Degree in Economics and Business Administration; this Associate worked for Philips of Brazil in Sales, General Electric of Brazil as Marketing Manger, Molex of Brazil as Sales Acc. Manager, AMP of Brazil as Sales Acc. Manager. He joined the team to perform marketing, sales activities, and technical support for American Companies at Ford Electronics Plant.
Of special mention, the team has also 2 Technicians and 12 Inspectors working at Ford Electronics Division/Brazil. We are able to offer technical services to our clients at an accessible cost in production areas, assembly lines, supply feedback to the supplier on maintaining quality specifications, identify root causes of problems and take corrective action, issue quality reports, represent suppliers and customers to establish and maintain cooperative relationships, and avoid changes in process engineering that can benefit your competitors.
