In a recent report in BusinessWeek, Germany appears to deny the development of global trends. The report suggests that globalization is a harsh plan of the U.K. and the U.S. to directly assault Germany’s social-market economy. The Germans see plants closing and jobs disappearing and believe this is due to globalization. It is really the shadow of globalization; the companies closing have not gone global, but instead have lost their contracts and can’t react fast enough to the new playing field.
